Ben Doody To Head Newsroom At 'Omaha World-Herald'


Omaha World-Herald, a Lee Enterprises newspaper, has named Ben Doody as executive editor.

Doody will lead the newsroom starting on April 28. He replaces Rachel Stassen-Berger, who has left the company, according to World-Herald.

Previously, Doody was the managing editor of Heavy, a digital sports information service. He also has been managing editor of the Connecticut Group for Digital First Media, which was in charge of New Haven Register and several other newspapers. And, he has served at Hearst Connecticut Media Group.

“The Omaha World-Herald has an exceptional reputation and tradition of delivering compelling and impactful news to its readers, and Ben is ready to help us reach the next level of excellence,” says Marc Chase, senior director of local news for Lee Enterprises.
