Gannett has named John Bisognano as executive editor of The Palm Beach Post, responsible for the Post’s editorial operations, effective April 21. 

Bisognano previously served as managing editor. He joined the paper in 1997, and has served as senior editor, deputy news editor, courts editor, breaking news and digital editor, hurricane editor and assistant sports editor. 

“John has a track record of producing journalism that is essential to the community it serves,” says Wendy Fullerton Powell, a Gannett vice president and Florida region editor. “And we are confident that he will lead this award-winning newsroom to new heights of audience growth, digital innovation and powerful journalism.”
