Hot-sauce-loving consumers expect a little “kick” to the taste buds from the heat of the fiery condiment, but with Taco John’s new collab, they’re in for a physical kick to the nervous system as well.
Taco John’s released an Energizing Hot Sauce, available free while supplies last at participating restaurant locations. A partnership between the West-Mex chain and 5-hour Energy, the caffeinated Mango Habanero sauce follows on the heels of the pair’s Energizing BBQ Sauce from last summer.
The personal-sized bottle of hot sauce is purposely designed for customers to take it with them on the go. Per 5-hour Energy’s research, one in four millennials and Gen Z customers actually bring their own hot sauce to restaurants.
"This sauce isn't just about heat; it's about capturing the adventurous spirit of our fans and delivering a fresh culinary experience that brings everyone together," said Kevin Flaherty, CMO of Taco John's, in the announcement.

To accompany the hot sauce, 5-hour Energy has also rolled out a limited-edition Spicy Cinco de Mango 5-hour Energy shot, available online at the company's website. Customers will also receive a free hot sauce whole supplies last.
Both brands are promoting the collab on via their social media accounts.
