McClatchy is shutting four titles In Touch, Life & Style, First for Women, and Closer.
The final editions of the periodicals will appear between June 20 and 27, said Julie Pendley, a McClatchy spokesperson, in a statement to Hollywood Reporter.
The staffs will reportedly also be eliminated.
“Despite the best efforts of many of our talented colleagues, we have been unable to develop a profitable business model for four of our magazine titles,” Pendley said.
Pendley added: "We are grateful for the meaningful contributions of the affected employees and are providing support during the transition."
The celebrity-oriented
publications, In Touch and Life & Style, were taken over by McClatchy when it acquired owner A360 Media in 2024.
