Anna Wintour, an avowed Democrat and fundraiser for the party, visited the White House to discuss what tariffs will do to the fashion industry.
Wintour, the chief content officer and global editorial director of Condé Nast, met with Susie Wiles, White House chief of staff, according to media reports that could not be independently confirmed at deadline.
Observers are speculating if this means First Lady Melania Trump will finally be on a Vogue cover.
In other Condé Nast news, the publisher announced the naming of Sophia Zhang as senior vice president of revenue marketing.
Zhang will lead brand, B2B, client and direct-to-consumer (D2C) marketing strategies, along with creative development and production across all platforms, the company says.
Previously, Zhang served as CEO North America at Gale Partners.
