Straight Arrow News, a publisher pursuing what it says is unbiased, fact-based journalism, has relaunched its website and app with an apparent eye toward making its content more easily accessible.
"The news industry is fundamentally broken, plagued by bias and a loss of public trust,” says Ken Shapiro, chief revenue officer of Straight Arrow News. “This new user experience has trust-building at its core as we deliver unbiased, fact-based reporting in a way that fits into modern readers' lives.”
The Story page now provides summary bullets, video, audio, and full text options as part of the news experience. Fact Cards are integrated within stories to highlight key information. And the Get the Big Picture section provides context, Straight Arrow says.
And the new Today page offers such features as Get the Latest, Get Caught Up and Get the Facts, that showcase dynamic video content, breakthrough fact cards, and the “Media Miss” department that exposes coverage gaps across the political spectrum.
