Entertainment journalism brand The Ankler has hired Kelly Fisher Butler as chief of staff, effective July 21.

Previously, Butler was director of editorial operations at Vanity Fair. 

Butler will be tasked with managing day-to-day editorial planning. 

She will work with The Ankler’s team of editors and writers, and serve as a liaison with the firm’s events and advertising teams and partners like Substack.  

“Kelly is a deft hand with a stellar reputation in the industry who is just the right person to manage and help scale a fast-growing company,” says Janice Min, CEO and editor in chief, Ankler Media, to whom Butler will report.  

Min adds: “As we massively expand our events and editorial footprint, and onboard more and more advertising partners, I look forward to working with Kelly as my partner.”
