One fast-casual chain’s 2024 beauty collaboration with a popular women’s lip stain was so successful it’s coming back in 2025.

Chipotle has announced the relaunch of its collaboration with Wonderskin. The “Lipotle” is back on July 15, with the same long-wearing stain as Wonderskin’s other products. This Chipotle-specific shade goes on metallic avocado green (instead of purple) before peeling off to reveal a “universally flattering nude-pink stain.” The brand touts it as “smudge-proof, budge-proof and re-application free” for up to 10 hours -- thus enabling the user to eat burritos stain free.

“When it launched last year, Lipotle became Wonderskin’s fastest ever sellout, and together both brands received over 10,000 emails and comments to bring it back,” explained Chipotle President and Chief Brand Officer Chris Brandt to Marketing Daily. “Our fans have shown us they’re hungry for fun beauty collabs that are completely ownable for Chipotle.”

The Lipotle lip stain kit will be available on the Wonderskin website for $29 beginning July 15 while supplies last. Previously dropped in honor of the fitting National Avocado Day in 2024, the Lipotle sold out within minutes. “Wonderskin’s vegan, cruelty-free beauty aligns with Chipotle’s mission to cultivate a better world,” according to the brand’s announcement.

“We are always exploring unexpected ways to connect with our community outside of our standard marketing calendar,” said Brandt to Marketing Daily. “Lipotle was born from the insight that Chipotle fans who share mukbangs [videos showing people eating large amounts of food] on social media often have lipstick residue on their burritos. After unprecedented demand following the first product drop, we answered the call from fans and relaunched Lipotle.”

When Wonderskin is initially applied, it is a purple foil color (or in the case of the Lipotle, green foil), which is left on for 30-60 seconds, sprayed with an activator, then peeled off to reveal the lip color underneath.
