The Daily Friday, a wacky podcast hosted
by Los Angeles comedian Jack Lawler, will launch this Friday.
Lawler will break down pop culture, sports, real world news, and what he calls “internet
brain rot.”
The podcast is a companion to the Daily Friday Newsletter, which has 170,000+ subscribers. Like the newsletter, the Daily Friday podcast will feature entertaining stories,
irreverent commentary and an informal tone about issues, the producers claim.
“Our readers don’t come to us for news on wars in the Middle
East, trade deals, or election updates,” Lawler says of the newsletter. “They get enough of that just by being alive in 2025. They come to us for news about Bill Belichick’s new 24
year old girlfriend, Sydney Sweeney’s bathwater soap, and Joey Chestnut re-entering the hot dog eating contest. And we like it that way.”
