Murdoch Editor David Dinsmore To Serve As UK Government Communications Chief

David Dinsmore, the long-time editor of The Sun, has been named the communications chief of the UK government. 

In November, he will become permanent secretary for communications in the Cabinet Office, a civil service post, according to The Guardian.  

Dinsmore was named to the post despite reservations about his long service as the head of Rupert Murdoch’s News UK, The Guardian adds.
