Radio RFP Narrowed To Three: Arbitron, MRI, Media Audit

A Clear Channel Radio-led request for proposals for a new, state-of-the-art electronic radio audience measurement system Thursday announced that it narrowed the field to a short list of three candidates: Arbitron, Mediamark Research Inc., and Media Audit. All three of the candidates utilize passive, portable measurement systems. All three will be invited to present their electronic ratings systems in more depth later this month. The evaluation team will then determine how many finalists proceed to a live test stage, which is planned to begin this spring.
