The NPR newsroom is losing an important team member: Ari Shapiro, co-host of "All Things Considered" and "Consider
This," is stepping down. His last show will be on September 26, roughly 10 years after he started on "All Things Considered."
Starting his career
as an intern for Nina Totenberg, Shapiro later served as a correspondent covering news, the White House and justice.
“We’re excited to see what Ari does next as he
embarks on creating more of his own work,” writes Edith Chapin, senior vice president, editor in chief and acting chief content officer at NPR. “We’ve also discussed keeping the door
open for any opportunities to work together on specific projects in the future.”
