Beyond The Fruit Bowl: Smoothie King Launches Food Menu

Now consumers can get a side of avocado toast with their smoothie.

Smoothie King’s new food menu, Power Eats, rolled out last week, marking the first time the 50-year-old chain has added food beyond fruit and granola to its menu.

To promote the new offerings, the brand has tapped Jeremiah Brown, former contestant on “Love Island USA,” to star in a series of online spots on YouTube that break this week.

In one spot, seen here, Brown is seen in what appears to be a reality show confessional reminiscent of “Love Island,” talking about how about how he “finally met someone” who has a “sprinkle of everything” he’s looking for right now. He “wakes up every day and can’t wait to be with her.” “Her” is revealed to be a smoothie with Avocado Toast.

“We're going beyond smoothies and bowls – because we wanted to give our guests what they've been asking for," says Gavin Felder, president and chief financial officer for Smoothie King, in the announcement. "They've told us they want more flexible, nutritious choices throughout the day, and we've responded with a range of food options that are … designed to leave you feeling great about your choice."

The new Power Eats menu includes: Peanut Butter Toast, Chocolate Hazelnut Toast,  Avocado Toast, an Eggs & Cheese Protein Box and a Peanut Butter & Fruit Protein Box. Currently available only in the Dallas/Fort Worth area are Egg Clouds, which are baked eggs with Veggie, Turkey Sausage and Turkey Bacon options, and Savory Chicken Tenders, which are chicken skewers available with BBQ, Buttermilk Ranch or Boom Boom sauce. All items will be available at all of Smoothie King’s 1,200 locations by early 2026.

The new Toast menu items are available as a combo with a smoothie for $9.99.

The brand is also rolling out a specific “Loaded Toasts” campaign from creative agency BarkleyOKRP, which include YouTube, social platforms and out-of-home executions.
