Center-right digital news publisher The Dispatch is breaking
some news in Publishers Daily, announcing an expansion of its multimedia content via new Vice President of Audio Marguerite Howell (formerly a founder and editor of The
Economist's "The Intelligence") and is adding Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation & Institute (which recently launched a new Center on Civility and Democracy) Chairman Frederick Ryan to its
board.
In a conversation with The Dispatch President Michael Rothman, he explains the significance of these new appointments at a time when American news media seems more polarized
than ever and where the publication will be heading next.
Rothman, who joined as president in 2024, has been a long-time advisor at The Dispatch, ProPublica and The Moth, and
previously was co-founder and CEO of Fatherly.
