The Financial Times (FT) and MIT Technology Review are partnering on a six-part newsletter series on how artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping global power. 

The State of AI series, which debuts on Nov.3, will appear weekly on Mondays.  

Contributors include FT and MIT Technology Review correspondents covering global markets, energy, defense, and technology. 

The topics include: 

• The U.S. vs. China  
• The energy question 
• The future of war
• The end of privacy
• The economic singularity 
• The world in 2030 

“This partnership brings together two trusted editorial brands with a shared goal: to illuminate how technology is reshaping the world,” says Brooke Masters, US managing editor at the FT, in a statement. “By uniting the FT’s global reporting strength with MIT Technology Review’s deep expertise in emerging tech, we can deliver sharp insights and rich storytelling on how AI is transforming geopolitics, business, and more.” 

Mat Honan, editor in chief at MIT Technology Review, adds: “As AI becomes increasingly embedded in and transformative of society, it’s vital that we interrogate it from a variety of perspectives.”
