Perplexity has received a vote of no confidence from
the audience at a technology conference.
In an informal poll of the 300+ attendees at the Cerebral Valley AI Conference, Perplexity was voted the most likely artificial
intelligence (AI) startup to collapse. OpenAI was second.
"Geez, it sounds more like the judgmental valley conference,” said Perplexity spokesperson Jesse
Dwyer, according to Business Insider, which reported from the cconference.
Experts must know that this unscientific survey is no proof of
anything.
The attendees may have been reacting to negative publicity about lawsuits filed by publishers over alleged content scraping, and a growing mood that presumably will change as another
firm comes under fire. But it was an entertaining stunt anyway.
