As the holidays and the
massively successful Grinch adult happy meal come to an end, McDonald’s is introducing a new kid-focused Happy Meal and partnership to ring in 2026 around the globe.
Crayola has teamed
up with the QSR on the new Planet McDonald’s Happy Meal, marking the first international collaboration for the two mega brands.
The new meal features an exclusive line of co-branded,
space-themed activity kits and toys designed “to encourage hands-on creative moments that the whole family can share,” according to the press release.
“We're always
looking for ways to create fun, surprising and engaging experiences that connect with families in meaningful ways,” says Sheila Hamilton, senior director of global brand marketing from
McDonald's, in a statement. “This unique partnership with Crayola allows us to deliver personalized, interactive experiences that connect culture and creativity through a space-themed journey
that puts kids in control of their own narrative."

The limited-edition Planet McDonald's Happy Meal is currently rolling out at participating McDonald's restaurants in over 60 countries
including EMEA, the U.K., Asia and Canada. The meals will have varying availability depending on the market through March 2026 while supplies last.
Both the Happy Meal box design and
advertising for the meal contain kid-created illustrations. The campaign also includes an interactive digital experience where kids can “scan their creations and watch them come to life in a
vibrant space-themed environment filled with opportunities to explore, learn and create even more.”
With the two brands “together, we're empowering kids to take a giant leap into
creativity and fill the universe with color,” says Anna Roca, head of global partnerships at Crayola.
The new collaboration also marks the first time Crayola has become a supplier of
McDonald's colored pencils.
