
Several QSRs are kicking off 2026 with new
leadership.
White Castle has promoted Jamie Richardson to CMO. Richardson joined the company in 1998 and most recently served as the brand’s vice president of marketing and public
relations. He replaces Lynn Blashford, who is retiring from White Castle after 15 years.
“Jamie brings a deep knowledge of our brand, strong relationships across our communities and an
unwavering belief in what makes White Castle special,” said Lisa Ingram, CEO of White Castle and the great-granddaughter of White Castle’s founder, Billy Ingram, in release.
“I have full confidence that Jamie will carry forward the strong foundation Lynn has built while continuing to bring fresh ideas and energy to the team.”
Prior to White
Castle, Richardson held various leadership roles at J. Walter Thompson.

Dave’s Hot Chicken has promoted Jim Bitticks, the company’s president and COO, to the position of CEO.
Bitticks fills the role left open by Bill Phelps, who is transitioning to executive chairman of the board of directors.
“Jim Bitticks has been a driving force behind the strategic,
profitable growth of Dave’s Hot Chicken for more than five years as chief operating officer and president,” says Phelps. “As both a franchisee and operator, he has built the programs
and teams behind our operations across nearly 400 restaurants worldwide.”
In his new role as CEO, Bitticks is tasked with strengthening franchise operations, expanding the brand’s
domestic and international footprint and ensuring brand consistency.
Blaze Pizza has hired John Owen as CEO. Restaurant industry veteran Owen joins the pizza chain from Scooter’s
Coffee, where he most recently served as COO. Prior to Scooter’s, Owen spent the majority of his career with McDonald’s Corporation, where he started as a crew member and rose to
corporate vice president of strategy and execution. His also served as president and CEO of Subway Russia.
