The Pentagon has defended the limitations on news media that it imposed last October, answering a lawsuit filed by The New York Times. The policy, which requires journalists to sign a
21-page document that would restrict their activities, is to“secure the Pentagon and stop activity that could compromise national security,” the filing said, the Times
reports.
