Santa Clara County, California has sued Meta Platforms, accusing it of tolerating fraudulent advertising on a global basis, Reuters reports. The suit filed on Monday alleges that Meta profited from
Facebook and Instagram ads promoting scams, and seeks restitution, civil damages and an order barring Meta from engaging in unfair business practices.
