From Matzo To Marriage: Manischewitz Launches Reality Dating Show

Manischewitz is helping  Jewish singles make a love connection this summer.

The sweet wine and kosher food maker has launched a search for contestants to be cast in “Manischewitz Matchmakers,” a new reality dating show “inspired by the time-honored (and sometimes relentless) tradition of Jewish matchmaking.”

Potential contestants can apply through June 3 on Manischewitz’s website where they must include a video bio, as well as headshot, to be considered.

The brand will select 22 contestants for what it calls a “one-of-a-kind dating experience set in New York City.”

The 22 contestants will compete in multiple rounds of matchmaking challenges, after which the players will be narrowed down to four couples with one named the winner. The lucky winning couple will receive the “ultimate first-date starter pack,” which includes a Manischewitz Summer of Love box filled with food, merch and entertainment and their own Instagram tag.

“From family dinners to holiday tables, bringing people together has always been at the heart of Manischewitz,” said Talia Sabag, marketing manager for Manischewitz in a release. “With ‘Manischewitz Matchmakers,’ we're celebrating connection in a fresh, fun, and culturally authentic way, helping spark relationships while embracing the humor and warmth of Jewish tradition.”

The show, which will “blend old-school matchmaking with the high-energy drama of reality TV,” was created by comedian and writer Eitan Levine, who is known for his comedy series “Jewish or Antisemitic?” as well as his live game show “That's So Jewish!”

The show is scheduled to tape on June 10, later airing beginning on July 27 via YouTube and TikTok, among other Manischewitz socials. The brand is currently promoting the show with social posts featuring Levine.
