A popular digital creator with more than five million followers is
lending his comedy chops to the latest campaign from Panera.
Jake Shane, known for TikTok videos and celebrity-laden “Therapuss” podcast, stars in the latest effort for the
fast-casual chain, which rolls out across social this week.
Shane is touting the “Pass That Panera” Meal, a custom Mix & Match Menu order he reportedly curated, highlighting
the new addition of the Caesar Salad Stuffer with Chicken to the brand’s value menu for a limited time. The meal also includes a Fuji Apple Chicken Salad and Homestyle Chicken Noodle Soup.
A series of humorous social videos, such as seen here, show Shane in faux behind-the-scenes vignettes from a commercial shoot for the Mix
& Match Menu. Created by 72 & Sunny New York, the videos were helmed by former “Saturday Night Live “director Paul Briganti. Hilarity ensues as Briganti attempts to direct Shane,
who at one point eats the Caesar Salad Stuffer that was a prop and takes personal calls while the camera rolls.

“Panera's Mix & Match Menu was designed to give our guests some of the
menu items they love at a price that feels like a win," said Mark Shambura, CMO, Panera Bread, in a release.
Launched earlier this year, Panera’s Mix & Match value menu gives
customers the option to select two or more items from 11 different sandwiches, salads and soups for $4.99 each, along with a side selection of a French baguette, chips or an apple.
