DoorDash Launches Campaign To Give College Football Fans Their Own Deals

DoorDash’s latest campaign is helping ensure college football fans get a “deal” much like the players they follow this 2026 season.

The brand’s new “Don't Fan for Free” campaign, rolling out nationwide this week, celebrates the fans that “work just as hard” as the teams, but “without the credit,” and launches a series of new deals throughout the season.

The hero spot, seen here, features prominent footballers such as coach Lane Kiffin, national champion and NFL veteran Jameis Winston and NFL champion and college football legend Reggie Bush. The spot highlights that now that everyone in football has a “deal,” including coaches and mascots, so should the fans.

“College football fans build their whole week around Saturdays. The tailgates, the multigenerational traditions, and the energy they bring are what make the sport so special,” said Gina Igwe, vice president of brand, creative and consumer marketing at DoorDash, in a release. “In the NIL era where everyone in college football has a deal, ‘Don't Fan for Free’ is DoorDash's way of making sure the fans get one too.”

The campaign runs across TV, streaming and social throughout the season.

Beginning Sept. 5, customers who complete a “streak” of ordering on specified Saturdays will be entered into a drawing  to win a Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, with another 1,000 fans receiving a $250 DoorDash gift card to host their own watch party. A different prize will be awarded each month, with all entrants who complete each month’s streak entered to win the grand prize of  $757,500 toward “the house of [their] dreams,” plus a new fridge full of a year's supply of Dr Pepper.

DoorDash will also host a series of activations at various college games, including a “DoorDash Transfer Portal,” which transforms participants into “an official DoorDash recruit” with game day gear and limited edition merch. Local sweepstakes will also be held at partner schools.
