United Online Buys MyPoints For $56M

United Online, which owns NetZero, Juno and Classmates, among other sites, has agreed to purchase online direct marketing services company MyPoints from United Airlines for $56 million, the companies announced Monday. MyPoints has a database of approximately 4.5 million members and, as of the end of last month, had approximately 1.4 million members with activity in their accounts.
