Nielsen Media Research has begun monitoring five additional cable networks in prime time for its product placement measurement service.
A&E, Bravo, HGTV, MTV, and TLC are now
part of Place*Views. In January, Nielsen says the top 10 programs with product placements on prime-time cable included 19,623 brand appearances--65 percent of the total on cable networks for the
month.
Nielsen has tracked prime-time brand appearances on the six broadcast networks since the 2003-04 season.
