ADDY Award Winners Announced

The American Advertising Federation (AAF) yesterday announced the winners of this year's ADDY Awards, the world's largest advertising competition and arguably the toughest, along with finalists for Best of Show broadcast and print.

This year, the Best of Show Print and Broadcast winners will be announced at the ADDY Awards gala on Saturday, June 12, at The Fairmont Dallas, as part of the AAF National Conference 2004:

Best of Show Broadcast Finalists are:

  • BBDO - Drama for FedEx

  • Cliff Freeman & Partners - Role Reversal for Value City

  • Leo Burnett Company - School's Out for Nintendo

  • Modernistal! - Big Race for General Motors HUMMER Division

  • Publicis c/o Saatchi & Saatchi - The Joke for Heineken USA

    Best of Show Print Finalists

  • Bailey Lauerman - Calories, Pounds, Anxiety for Union Pacific

  • Foote Cone & Belding Seattle - Tell Your Story for Tacoma Guitars

  • Leo Burnett Company - Wall for US Army

  • Square One - Urban Home Print Campaign for Urban Home

  • Y & R Advertising - Word Wars for Mattel

    DeVito/Verdi in New York City won the most ADDYs with 11 total awards (eight Gold and three Silver), followed by GSD&M of Austin, Tex. (four Gold and seven Silver). Next was Leo Burnett in Chicago with eight total ADDYs (five Gold and three Silver). International winners include Morton Jankel Zander of London with five total ADDYs (three Gold and two Silver).
