The Audit Bureau of Circulations announced the delivery of its first "insert verification reports" for six major news dailies: the
Chicago Tribune, Dayton Daily News (Ohio),
Journal-Gazette/News-Sentinel (Fort Wayne, Ind.),
Quad-City Times (Davenport, Iowa),
St. Petersburg Times, (Fla.) and the
Washington Post. This ABC service, launched in
January, delivers more precise measurement for insertion of ads in daily newspapers.
