Newspaper giant Gannett Monday said 22 of its biggest newspapers have signed up for a new Insert Verification Service (IVS) launched last week by the Audit Bureau of Circulations. The ABC previously announced results of the trial run of its new service, which monitored six papers: the Chicago Tribune, Dayton Daily News, the Journal-Gazette/News-Sentinel of Fort Wayne, Indiana, the Quad-City Times of Davenport, Iowa, the St. Petersburg Times, and the Washington Post. The 22 titles Gannett has committed to IVS results include the Detroit Free Press, Arizona Republic, Indianapolis Star, Cincinnati Enquirer, the Courier-Journal of Louisville, Kentucky, Des Moines Register, and the Tennessean. -- Erik Sass
