Google Monday released several updates to Google Earth and Google Maps, including a high-resolution update for the satellite mapping program, which increases the index of high-res imagery by four
times. In addition, the new version of Earth also features an updated user interface and new tools to display user-generated imagery, specifically textured buildings that can now be created with
Google SketchUp. Google also updated its Google Maps API, allowing developers to integrate data into mash-up programs based on the location's street address.
