It's the battle of the daytime queens. Ellen and Oprah will compete against each other on both coasts. KNBC Los Angeles says it is moving Ellen DeGeneres' syndicated talk show from 4 p.m. to 3
p.m.--pitting it against Winfrey's show, which airs on KABC. The move follows WNBC New York's recent decision to put DeGeneres in Oprah's time slot this fall. Ellen Degereres' show was recently
renewed for three more years, through the 2009-10 season. KNBC will also air newcomer "The Megan Mullally Show" at 4 p.m. beginning Sept. 18. Two-time Emmy winner Mullally ("Will & Grace") will
compete in the time slot against "Dr. Phil" on KCBS.
