A site redesign that went live this week has made Google's classifieds service, Google Base, a little more user-friendly to small business owners. The biggest change is that the site now clearly tells
users how to upload multiple items. Specifically, the site now informs users about three ways they can upload their items for sale or for searching: one at a time through a standard data-entry form,
en masse through an XML or spreadsheet file, or through the use of the service's application programming interface. Google also removed its search box from the site, making Google Base one of the few
Google home pages without the ubiquitous search utility.
