Yahoo reportedly is planning to open the code of its free e-mail, Yahoo Mail, to developers outside the company. With the opening of its code, developers will be able to build new progams. For
example, Reuters reported, if MSN and Google follow suit, developers could craft programs that allow users to read all of their e-mail from one browser window. Yahoo Mail alone
drew 41.4 percent of all display ads in August, according to Nielsen//NetRatings.
