Google Wins Trademark Case

A federal judge ruled that Google didn't violate a company's trademark by selling ads to rivals that were triggered by searches on the trademark name. Computer repair business Rescuecom had sued Google in federal district court in September of 2004, arguing that Google violated its trademark by allowing competitors to bid on rivals to bid on "rescuecom" as a keyword. The lawsuit was dismissed late last week.
