United Online Sees Q1 Profit

According to Reuters, Internet service provider United Online posted a higher quarterly profit as it gained market share in the dial-up subscriber segment. The company, which owns the NetZero and Juno services, said first-quarter net profit rose to $12.4 million, or 18 cents a share, from $7 million, or 10 cents a share, a year ago. Adjusted net income increased to $15.2 million, or 23 cents a share, from $11.1 million, or 16 cents, a year ago. Quarterly revenue rose to $107.7 million from $73.8 million.
