The Washington Post Co.'s washingtonpost.com on Wednesday launched "Battlegrounds," a multimedia series of reports examining the key issues in the 2004 presidential race. "Our goal is to offer an
extraordinary look at the issues by combining the depth of written coverage with the emotional and visual appeal of video reporting," said Caroline Little, CEO and publisher of
Washingtonpost.Newsweek Interactive, in a statement. The series is produced by washingtonpost.com political correspondent Terry Neal and award-winning videographer Travis Fox. The first report
focuses on Ohio and unemployment and job creation in the state. The series employs both documentary-style video and text. Three additional reports are set to run before the political party
conventions.
