WPP veteran Alex Norman has been named CEO of the holding company's recently formed joint venture with online customer community-marketing services company LiveWorld. The new company, named
LiveWorld-WPP, will provide online community and social-networking services to major brands worldwide through WPP's global networks. Norman has worked for WPP units Ogilvy and Y&R, leading integrated
teams for advertising, interactive, direct marketing, PR and events, for clients including Sony, Mattel, Jaguar and Lincoln Mercury. Previously, he was employed by Endeavor Marketing as senior
marketing director. Norman will be based in New York.
