Click fraud rates fell last quarter to 13.8 percent--down from 14.1 percent in the second quarter, but still up slightly from 13.7 percent for the first three months of the year, according to a new
report by auditing company Click Forensics. Yahoo, Google and other "Tier 1" search companies had a click fraud rate of 11.9 percent last quarter, compared to 12.8 percent in the second, and 12.1
percent in the first, according to Click Forensics. The report was based on data gathered from Click Forensics' "Click Fraud Network" of more than 2,500 online advertisers and agencies.
