Last week, Interpublic rolled its media units back into full-service shops. Taking the exact opposite strategic position of its competitor, Havas will unite all of its MPG media agencies under the
newly formed brand umbrella of Havas Media.
Havas Media will include flagship global media network MPG, secondary media network Arena, online and digital arm Media Contacts,
sports-marketing specialists Havas Sports and branded-entertainment division B6 Integrated Entertainment.
Alfonso Rodes Vila--named CEO of MPG last May following his brother Fernando Rodes Vila's
ascension from that position to CEO of Havas--will now be CEO of Havas Media. He will run the new unit with an executive board whose lone American member will be Media Contacts CEO Don Epperson,
serving as COO of Havas Media.
