Publicis Downgraded To 'Neutral,' Weakening Results Cited

Publicis Groupe, which a year ago was emerging as a Wall Street darling, is now being downgraded. Citing weak third quarter results and a slowdown in its rate of growth, Merrill Lynch Friday downgraded Publicis' shares to a "neutral" from a "buy" rating. Publicis is the Paris-based parent of Starcom MediaVest Group and ZenithOptimedia Group.
