JWT Builds Microsite For Ford

Targeting outdoorsy types, Primedia Outdoors Group has aligned with Ford Motor Company and its agency, J. Walter Thomson, to launch a micro site, "The Great Outdoors: A Family Tradition." With guidance from JWT, Ford is using the co-branded site as a vehicle to push its hulking model 2007 Expedition. Editorial content from Primedia's breadth of outdoor titles will accompany banner and streaming video ads for Ford's Expedition. The site, www.fordexpedition.primediaoutdoors.com--which also has a photo-sharing tool--features hunting and fishing videos and stories from Bowhunter, Gun Dog, and Shotgun News, among other colorful Primedia titles. WPP Group's JWT counts Ford as one of its biggest clients. The agency, with a staff of about 600, earlier this year relocated from downtown Detroit to Dearborn, Mich.--Ford's home base--to better serve the automotive manufacturer.
