UK Internet Ad Expenditures Up 52.1%

The value of advertising on UK websites increased to $64,018,200 in July, up 52.1% from the $42 million dollars posted in June. The information was released today by AdZone Interactive, an advertising research firm that tracks advertising on over 1,300 U.S. websites that make up more than 95% of all internet advertising revenue. In the UK it is tracking 193 UK websites which make-up 97% of UK ad revenue.

The top brand on UK sites was again ESPN.go.com with an advertising value of $4.29 million, up from June's number of $2.45 million. Virgin money.com came in at #2 at $3.39 million, while yahoo.com mail was third at $2.88 million. UK yahoo.com was again the number one web site with iii.co.uk coming in at #2 for the second month in a row.
