FCC Dems Get AT&T To OK Net Neutrality

FCC Dems are credited with getting AT&T to agree to network neutrality and low-cost DSL service in hopes of gaining agency approval for the proposed merger with Bell South, according to B&C. Key executives with consumer organizations Free Press, Consumers Union and Consumer Federation of America praised Democratic Commissioners Michael Copps and Jonathan Adelstein for refusing to buckle to GOP pressure. Keeping down prices for DSL may force the market to follow suit.
