From Samsung - way too complicated for here but look for for a semi-long winded piece in next week's MTF. Net/net - competes w MediaFLO and empowers station owners for fully accessible DTV. We shall see.

The next wave in interactive advertising and customer service - check out NFC (Near Field Communications) on the 6131. Touch the movie poster (print) with your phone and boom! watch the trailer. I LOVE RFID.

It's all about HD again

No matter where you turn or where u go - it is all about HD. Add ons for games, TV sets, small screens. I wonder how many brands (and agencies for that matter) are thinking about HD content. If you aren't - danger Will Robinson - you had better start.

At The Emmy Awards

A huge turn-out!! So far Emmys for RCA-TTE, DirecTV, Micosoft, Adobe, Real Networks, and Apple. Much fun to be had at the 58th Annual Technology and Engineering Awards live from The Venetian in Las Vegas. I am up in a bit--will let you know who wins in my category.

A widget that lets you upload video to your blog or MySpace page from your cell phone that is carrier-independent. They also claim to be able to put this up through a set top box. Oh, and did I mention you can brand it?! Coolest thing I have seen yet. www.juicecaster.com

And I want to go home. Some of the snappier things I have seen: Roots branded protective gear; 1023 plasma at Samsung (because every house should have one); more accessories for everything from the phone to the car to the home than you can shake a stick at. And ASIMO is back again this year.

Hitting the pavement soon. A sneak peek yesterday at the convention center only reinforced the belief I had that this year is going to be bigger than last. Keynote from BG last night--IPTV and Xbox. Uh huh.
