The New York Times has tapped American Express as the presenting sponsor of its first annual New York Times Travel Show, which is scheduled for February in New York City. In that role, American
Express will offer cardholders special discounts and travel packages at the show, including opportunities to book vacations and weekend getaways at show kiosks.
"American Express is an ideal
partner for us," said NYT senior vice president, advertising Jyll Holzman in a press release. "The company's reputation as a leader in the travel industry perfectly complements The Times' long history
as a resource to consumer and business travelers."
The show can accommodate more than 250 exhibitors and will feature nine pavilions showcasing different regions of the world. Other pavilions
will showcase exhibitors in the cruise, hotel and retail sectors. Throughout the weekend, seminars by industry pros and exhibitors will address current tourism issues, practical travel advice and
travel technology improvements. For more information, visit www.newyorktimes.com/travelshow.
