CBS Readies March Madness Streams

  • February 9, 2007
CBS SportsLine has opened up registration for VIP access to its March Madness on Demand service, which gives users faster access to live broadband video of the first 56 games of the NCAA Division 1 Men's Basketball Championship. The service was offered free for the first time last year, resulting in 19 million video streams and 5 million visits. CBS noted that last year, a line of 150,000 people without VIP passes for the on-demand service had formed in a virtual waiting room after the first games had started. The March Madness video player will launch on March 5, with fans having the ability to watch highlights of historic NCAA tournament games. Live coverage begins March 15.
