AOL Partners With ATP; AIM Syncs Up With WeatherBug

The ATP, the governing body of the men's professional tennis circuit, has partnered with America Online to provide multimedia tennis content specially developed for AOL for Broadband members. The ATP will provide specially produced video, audio and editorial content from up to 25 ATP Tournaments to AOL for Broadband members at no additional cost. A portion of the content will also be made available at no cost to AOL dial-up members.

ATP will provide: -Video Highlights Package - Up to three minutes of match highlights for 20 ATP Tournaments, press conferences, and other non-match related video content; -Audio Clips - Up to two audio clips per tournament from players at 25 ATP Tournaments; and -Tennis Timeouts - One-on-one interviews between host Roy Firestone and top ATP players.

Additionally, AWS Convergence Technologies is going to integrate its WeatherBug product with the AOL's Instant Messenger service (AIM). Weather data from WeatherBug, which streams live local conditions to 15 million users from a nationwide network of 7,000 school- and community-based weather stations and 1,000 cameras, is available to AIM users as well as through an optional integration with the updated AIM 5.5 download.
