Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest wireless carrier by revenue, announced that for the fourth quarter of 2006, it also had the lowest churn rate in the industry.
Churn, or
turnover, is the percentage of customers who terminate their service relationship with their carrier, and is the primary measure of customer loyalty and satisfaction.
Verizon Wireless invests
more than $6 billion annually to expand and improve its wireless network, and employs 27,000 customer service representatives who complete 3.3 million customer service transactions daily.
