Daniel Jaye, a veteran online executive with significant experience in audience data and privacy, has been named executive vice president, product management and development for Tacoda, the
behaviorally targeted online advertising network.
Jaye, 42, was most recently chairman, CTO and founder of Permissus, Inc. From 1995 to 2001, he was with Engage, Inc. in Andover, MA
as co-founder and chief technology officer leading product strategy and delivery and operations.
Jaye was CTO of CMGI, Engage's parent, until the Engage IPO in July, 1999. He is a recognized
industry expert on privacy matters.
While with Engage, Jaye invented the concept of "anonymous profiling" and conceived of and created Engage.Knowledge, a database of actionable anonymous
Web-wide behavioral profiles. He also patented a system and method for building user profiles and "dual-blind" identification and a method for inferring demographic information of Web site visitors.
Jaye will be based in New York, and will report to CEO Curt Viebranz.
