Roo Revenues Up 68%

Roo Group, which provides video solutions to online content providers and advertisers, reported first-quarter revenues up $3.0 million up 68% compared to $1.8 million in the same period a year earlier. Net operating loss was $6.5 million, the same as the company's cash balance at the end of the quarter.

Roo Chairman and CEO Robert Petty said the company has now deployed 400 video players, with commitments for over 500 more during the remainder of 2007. Some of the sites Roo has activated so far this year include mtvU and Ice.com in the U.S., and The Daily Mirror in the UK.
