San Francisco Chronicle's ME Leaves,25% Newsroom Staff Will Be Cut

Robert Rosenthal, managing editor of the San Francisco Chronicle, is leaving the paper today. The publication faces a 25% cut in newsroom staff. Rosenthal joined the Chronicle in 2002, after spending 22 years at The Philadelphia Inquirer. Editor Phil Bronstein is going to restructure the newsroom and take a more hands-on approach.
